Reaching Black and African American communities to address need for preventing and treating substance use disorders is critical now and more than ever as rates of overdose deaths in these communities are outpacing other populations. The Opioid Response Network’s Black Communities Workgroup is a multi-disciplinary team of individuals representing national organizations from across the country. It supports Opioid Response Network activities to ensure for the provision of culturally responsive training and education across the prevention, treatment and recovery of substance use disorders with a focus on opioid and stimulant use disorders.
